Após o Festival de Violeiros da Chapada Diamantina em Seabra Bahia, fomos fazer uma apresentação no espaço Cidade da Cultura, Bar e Restaurante localizado em Feira de Santana Bahia. Eu na viola de 10 cordas, Ivan Soares no violão e no vocal, Ferrety na percussão, Thuan no triângulo e Tonhão no acordeon fizemos uma cantoria lá e ficamos satisfeito ao ver que existe pessoas como o idealizador do espaço cultural, Asa Filho, também cantador e poeta, que mantém o lugar com muita resistência. No espaço já se apresentaram vários artistas, como Raimundo Sodré e Fagner, dentre outros. O restaurante posui um cenário rústico, tendo como enfeites casas de maribondos e ninhos de passarinhos construídos com barro e gravetos de árvores dando ao ambiente um ar campestre. Ivan cantou musicas de sua autoria, de Jackson do Pandeiro, Augusto Jatobá, poemas do poeta paraibano Zé Laurentino e de clássicos de Luiz Gonzaga. Depois da apresentação de Ivan, Tonhão do Acordeon cantou uns forrós e eu fui para o trinagulo, depois ensaiei uns xotes de Flavio José e Adelmário Coelho com Tonhão. Na plateia muitos estudantes da UEFS e admiradores da boa música de raiz. O companheiro e conterrâneo Jerry Benevides também deu uma canja no violão com um repertório espetacular cantando músicas de Elomar e Xangai. Asa Filho cantou algumas musicas também, acompanhado pelo seu violão. No final, Asa Filho nos presentiou com um "manjá dos céus": escaldado de galinha caipira na panela de barro. Que maravilha!! Pena que eu não estava bebendo, pois estava no volante na volta para Salvador! O deputado estadual Zé Neto, que tinha ido nos prestigiar, foi fundo no escaldado de galinha. Não poderia esquecer a presença de Vinicius Gomes e seus amigos que ficaram na platéia bebericando. Esperamos voltar por lá de novo, em breve. Que o companheiro Asa Filho resista com esse espaço cultural e que o público prestigie espaço como esse, valorizando cada vez mais nossa cultura. Um viva para a Cidade da Cultura!!!!!
